[SOLVED] Signal out of Range with Cintiq 12WX...
It was Windows settings that were the issue. Since the tablet is 1280x800, it couldn't translate the 16x9 aspect ratio on my new computer. However, it wouldn't automatically change to the proper resolution/aspect ratio, I believe because the integrated graphics for the modern CPU in the computer aren't designed to auto-set resolutions to non-16x9 aspect ratios, since no modern display isn't at least 16x9 or wider. Changing the resolution in the display settings didn't make a difference, which is what originally lead me away from thinking it was a display issue.
However, when I went into the advanced display properties, I was able to select f
Help! Cintiq 12WX: VGA to HDMI
Hoping someone sees this who can help. My main pen tablet is a Cintiq 12WX, which is obviously fairly old. I was recently forced to upgrade to a new laptop, which lacks a female VGA port. Since the 12WX only plugs in through VGA, I bought a VGA to HDMI adapter. It 'works', in the sense that the display connects and shows a picture. But:
A. It looks poorly downscaled to it's native resolution; not a huge deal as long as I can get every other problem fixed.
B. It shows "Signal Out of Range" in the center of the Cintiq screen, and I can't use the Menu buttons on the included converter box to access anything.
C. The picture is offset slightly
Years...
I haven't journal-ed in several of them, lol. Honestly, it's mostly because I never really knew what to use this for, so I tended to use it for random garbage; whatever I was thinking at the time. I've still got my YouTube channel. It's still going. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC12xSer4ibbNgM5T9zcJMVA
You know one thing that sucks though? When you find out that someone you Watched on dA deleted their account for some reason. I was closely following the art of someone who went by the name of "cartoonstudy" for quite a while, and had exchanged a few messages with them from time to time. And then without any warning, t
Been a long time
Man, it's been a while since I wrote a journal entry here. Honestly it's mostly because I haven't had much to say outside of stuff on video games. But I have a YouTube channel for that now. That being said, I completely forgot to post a journal entry here about one of my newest videos, which I spent probably well over 100 hours working on over the course of like a month and a half. Anyone who's interested in watching it should take a look. I'd greatly appreciate it :)

I am so pumped for this game ( though in Australia it comes out on the 20th March )
Final Fantasy X is my favourite Final Fantasy game ( X-2 definitely not so much XD )
I've got my ps3 and ps vita versions on pre-order and will definitely be enjoying the crossplay function and trophy support.
Y'know I was a bit surprised to learn that the remaster came with an updated OST ( X only ) It was a pleasant surprise. I've listened to the re hauled OST on youtube a lot and I can safely say that I like the new OST, you still get the same feel to it as the old OST and I've clocked over 150 hours on my old ps2 version of final fantasy X to complete it in every aspect. I'm definitely eager to do it all again.
I checked out the trophy support list on IGN and it looks like all of the trophies are actually easy to obtain :I Well easy for me and my vast experience XD others might share a different view
I have Lightning Returns, and I've got past the two main missions however I haven't really had that desire to turn it back on and finish it. I spent an entire day doing the first two missions but I think I am honestly over FFXIII, sure I wasn't a real fan anyway . . . But! I did make an effort to pass both XIII and XIII-2 so I'll get this one finished in time.
I've also been meaning to get Bravely Default. I've heard good things about it but sorry to say... I wont be playing that till after I've had my fill of Final Fantasy X and X-2 :3
I did however do one of the worst things a few days ago... I found the Japanese (and English subbed) version of the voice drama that occurs after you complete both games. I watched it. It brought a lot of different emotions to me at one time. I really wonder if that brings a close to X or... is it the start of something to come.
On a side note, If Square was to remaster XII as well... I'd like that. Sure the feedback in the West is underrated but in Japan that game was popular, and I thoroughly enjoyed the OST and environments in that game.
Honestly I've been more excited to get FFX/X-2 HD remaster then I have been over FFXIII series, FFXIV and FFXV.
I think that X is one of the best FF games out there. It was definitely Squares last great Final Fantasy game though, and the first game to make me cry XD. I actually laughed when Aeris died in VII... VII is supposedly the best game out there as so many people think, but my own opinion turns more to X and VIII :3
Hope you have fun playing your copy of FFX/X-2 a few days earlier than me T_T Lucky.
